The Vets

The Vets in Berlin

The Wallahs

The Kew Veterans are the 'senior' players of the club and are known as 'The Wallahs' for various dubious reasons, which are expanded upon in their own website. The site also features a whole heap of items; information, pictures, fixtures, results, squad members and all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff.  Take a look!?

Contrary to some beliefs Veterans matches although 'friendlies' are competitive and to a good standard, with most players having played to a decent level.  There are around 28 games in a season, known as 'The Mastership'! and are, usually, played in a good spirit, on decent pitches, with good hospitality afterwards.

The Wallahs are also well known for the social side of things and this is considered of great importance and it is considered highly inappropriate to play and then go home without first having a discussion in the warmth of the bar in the afterglow of victory, or not as the case may be.

As can be seen on the website The Wallahs travel far afield at the end of each season and in the last few years have been to France, Holland, Germany and even Cuba.

The Wallahs are always on the look out for good quality players who feel they still have plenty to offer, so if you've reached 35 years of age and are, preferably, a decent and committed player who would enjoy playing regular football with a good bunch of sociable blokes please call Andrew Heasman on 07971 206674.
