Introduction
Kew Association Football Club
(“the club”) wishes to promote sportsmanship and
fair play in all our teams both to our opponents
and to the officials. Players should treat opponents
and officials with respect at all times, irrespective
of the result of the game. It is also important
the club provide a high standard of hospitality
to players, officials and spectators before, during
and after the game.

Hon. Secretary, Richard Melvin (tel. 020 8560 0046),
as soon as possible and in any event within 48
hours of the match.
The support of Team Captains
in this procedure is vital in ensuring the Code
works.
Bans for individual players will
commence on their next Saturday home game following
the offence, or at such date as agreed by the Management
Committee if the matter has been reported to them.
This is to ensure the club can properly monitor
the requirements of any ban imposed. Cancelled
or postponed games do not count as a match for
the purposes of any ban.
All fines imposed by the
club or the AFA must be paid by the player to the
Hon. Secretary within 14 days of his written notification
to them, and players will not be available for
selection in any team within the club until their
fine has been paid to the Hon. Secretary. In this
instance, “written notification” shall include
fax and e-mail, if appropriate.
All players shall
have a right of appeal against any decision of
the Management Committee with regard to a sending
– off, including the length of ban or amount of
fine, but there shall be no right of appeal against
matters relating to a caution. The player shall
not be available for selection until any appeal
to the club has been decided. This right of appeal
shall be made to the Hon. Secretary on receipt
of any written notification of the decision of
the Management Committee, or on receipt of the
decision of three members of the Management Committee
in the case of appeals against a sending off for
violent conduct (see above). The player shall be
allowed an opportunity to attend the next available
meeting of the Management Committee following their
decision, and address the members accordingly.
The decision of the Management Committee is final.
In
the event of the AFA subsequently expunging a disciplinary
charge on an appeal made to them, all club fines
already paid will be reimbursed.
