Message From The Skipper - Buj Wreatham

I was introduced to Kew in 1973 by a college friend called Alan Wiggins, he played for the 2's at that time. I went to watch him play at Brentham, stayed for a beer and the rest is history.

I've played for every team and captained the Third team and the Fifth, where we won the Third Division in 1995.

My claim to fame is scoring for the 1st team against Marlow Town in an FA Vase Cup replay, we drew 2-2 with them at home and played them the following Wednesday under lights, walloping them 3-1.

I'm also known as having excellent player ability assessment, this is ably demonstrated by my rejection of a certain Kevin Betsy as 'not being good enough' for my third team when he was 14 years old and playing in our 4's. He is now a pro with Wycombe Wanderers!!
